Staff Selection Commission has published syllabus for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017. Job hunter who are appearing for SSC CGL 2017 can follow below mentioned points for syllabus detail:-

IMPORTANT DATES

Opening date to apply online 16th May, 2017

Closing date to apply online 19th of May, 2017

Closing date of receipt application form fee payment is 21st of June, 2017

Examinatiion Date –

Tier I – 05 August 2017 to 24 August 2017

Tier II – 05 August 2017 to 24 August 2017

Tier III – 10 November 2017 to 11 November 2017

Tier IV – Feb 2018 (Skill Test)

SSC CGL Exam Syllabus 2017

Highlight for SSC CGL Exam:-

1. Exam will be conducted in 3 Tiers, Tier I, Tier II and Tier III.

2. Mode of examination for Tier I and Tier II will be computer based and for Tier III will be pen and paper based.

3. Total marks of Tier I will be 200 marks, Tier II will be 800* and Tier III will be 100 marks.

4. Total time given for exam of Tier I will be 60 min (for VH candidates 80 min), for Tier II will be 120 mins (for VH candidates 160 min) and for Tier III will be 60 min (for VH candidates 80 min)

Job hunter are informed that merit will be declared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. There will be no sectional cut-off every Tier has to be cleared separately.

Examination Scheme:-

For Tier I Exam Scheme

1. General Intelligence Reasoning: 25 Questions

2. General Awareness: 25 Questions

3. Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions

4. English Comprehension: 25 Questions

For Tier II Exam Scheme

1. Quantitative Abilities: 100 Questions

2. English Language & Comprehension: 200 Questions

3. Statistics: 100 Questions; Paper-I & II as above

4. General Studies (Finance and Economics): 100 Questions; Paper-I & II as above

For Tier III Exam Scheme

1. Descriptive Paper in English or Hindi (Essay writing/Precie/Letter/Applications etc)

Marking as per Tiers:-

For Tier I

1. General Intelligence Reasoning: 100 marks

2. General Awareness: 100 marks

3. Quantitative Aptitude: 100 marks

4. English Comprehension: 100 marks

For Tier II

1. Quantitative Abilities: 200 marks

2. English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks

3. Statistics: 200 marks

4. General Studies (Finance and Economics): 200 marks

For Tier III

1. Descriptive Paper in English or Hindi (Essay writing/Precie/Letter/Applications etc): 100 marks

Note:- Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification will also be the part of selection.
